Divorce

Whether you are merely considering divorce and need advice about how the process works and what the impact will be on your children and finances or whether you want to file and serve divorce papers immediately, we will help you. We will be responsive to your needs and help you fight for the right result, including a fair division of assets, custody of your children, and spousal support. 

While no family law matter is too big or too small for us, we are particularly skilled in handling complex divorces with large amounts of assets at stake.  We are experienced in high stakes litigation and will aggressively pursue your interests.  We will take the time to fully understand the specifics of your situation to ensure that you receive all that you are entitled to.

Support & Custody

Polaris also handles spousal support, child support, and child custody and visitation modifications.  If you are currently paying or receiving support and believe that a modification of the current support is in order, contact us for an analysis of your situation.  Similarly, if your current custody or visitation arrangement is no longer working, we will be able to guide you through the process of seeking a modification.

Premarital & Postnuptial Agreements

If you are contemplating marriage and want to protect your assets, you may want a premarital agreement.  Premarital agreements can help ensure that your assets remain your own, limit spousal support obligations in the case of divorce, protect your assets from the debts of your spouse, and make provision for the payment of household expenses and the sharing of income during marriage.  Similarly, if you are already married and want to designate ownership of assets in a particular manner, a postnuptial agreement can help you achieve that goal.
